Fingerprints Capture

This functionality is used to capture the finger prints of clients and users that can be used in some transactions like savings withdrawals for clients or logging into Loan performer by a user.

Fingerprints capture in Loan Performer occurs in two areas: Under Systems/Configuration/Add a User and Systems/Configuration/Edit a User to capture the finger prints of LPF users. And under Clients/Individual Clients/Fingerprints Capture.

• Note that Before you can Capture Fingerprints, you need to have:
  i) Installed the biometric scanning device.
  ii) Configured the bio metric settings under System/Configuration/Fingerprint Scanning.
  iii) Activated Fingerprints Scanning.
  

  • How do you Capture clients Fingerprints in LPF

    To Capture Fingerprints of a Client you go to Clients/Individual Clients/Fingerprints Capture and a screen like the one below shows up:

     

  

  Automatic Capture: When this option is activated the fingerprint capture will scan immediately a thumb is placed on top of it automatically.
• Sensitivity: The Sensitivity levels will appear here as configured under System/Configuration/Fingerprint Scanning. The sensitivity can only be changed if at System/Configuration/Fingerprint Scanning you activate to allow a user to change it.

• Brightness: The Brightness level will appear here as configured under System/Configuration/Fingerprint Scanning.

  Contrast: The Contrast level will appear here as configured under System/Configuration/Fingerprint Scanning.
• Quality: The Quality level will appear here as configured under System/Configuration/Fingerprint Scanning.
• Capture Image: Place your left thumb on the scanner the prints marks will be displayed and click Capture Image at the top left corner. The quality of the fingerprint will be displayed and if satisfactory you can capture the left thumb the second time and you will have completed the left fingerprints capture. If you are not satisfied with the quality, you can as well refresh so as to start over. You can choose to Refresh Left to refresh only the left Image or Refresh Right to refresh only the right image or you can Refresh All.
• Capture Image: Place your Right thumb on the scanner the prints marks will be displayed and click Capture Image at the top right corner. The quality of the fingerprint will be displayed and if satisfactory you can capture the right thumb the second time and you will have completed the right fingerprints capture. If you are not satisfied with the quality, you can as well refresh so as to start over. You can choose to Refresh Left to refresh only the left Image or Refresh Right to refresh only the right image or you can Refresh All.

  You can now click Return and the system will store the finger prints in file. Any attempt to capture the same finger prints the second time will be rejected by the system as they will be saved/ stored.

  A client whose finger prints have been captured will appear below once retrieved:

   

Note that: To Capture Fingerprints of an existing Client you go to Clients/Individual Clients/Retrieve/Fingerprints Capture and the process is the same as above.

How to Capture users Fingerprints in LPF

To Capture Fingerprints of a users you go to Systems/Configuration/Add a User and the add user screen will appear as below.

• Click the Fingerprints capture button and the fingerprint verification screen will be displayed. Capture the images as shown above and click return. The finger prints will saved as seen below:

Note that: To Capture Fingerprints of an existing User you go to Systems/Configuration/edit a User and the process is the same as adding a user.
